Steps to take
Before using the tool, the facilitator must decide on which topics/areas to add in the evaluation wheel. Preferably no more than three different topics.
Have participants write down a general score for each topic. Participants should use their gut feeling and should utilize a simple score scale (ex. 1–5)
Have participants share their score for each topic, while the facilitator writes them on the canvas.
After giving the score, each participants reflects on why they gave it, why its good and how it could be improved.
Each participant places their reflections on the board while sharing the feedback.
Fasilitator summarizes the action points with the group.
Further reading
If you have too many topics, the team often repeats itself and it can drain the team for energy. This can be avoided by having topics that are well thought out, as well as being broad enough to encompass multiple topics.
Hot tip
When utilizing the Evaluation Wheel tool physically, you can use different colored post-its for the positive things, neutral and the negative things. This way it is easier to visualise the feedback.
