Why you should
A quick and easy way to onboard other people into your project or to document your work.
What you get
Short video clip(s) demonstrating your work.
Steps to take
Plan - What part of the process is it that you are going to record? Is it for example the outcome from an ideation session, main findings from your research or a workshop session? Prepare the visual material you want to include in the recording so you have it all accessible and lined up.
Record - Use your phone (landscape view) and describe the material you are showing. Remember to point to the material you are talking about so it is easy for the viewers to understand it later. The material can be sketches, the whiteboard with a lot of information on, a post-it wall, anything!
Share - Upload the video to a platform where the team can access it.

Including details and examples is the key for a good "one shot video". Keep in mind that a person watching the video should be able to catch the core discussions, learnings and outcomes from what you are sharing.
