Use simple strokes and illustrations to make it clear what you want to communicate. Don't overdo the sketches with a lot of details, that can disturb the story you are trying to tell. Remember that it doesn't need to be art in order to make a point, in fact it is easier for people to provide feedback when something isn't "perfect".
